Abimbola (Ola) Famuyide, MBBS, is Professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota and a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon. He holds appointments in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the Department of Surgery at Mayo Clinic, and has examining privileges in Clinical and Translational Science at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in London, United Kingdom. Dr. Famuyide is an Editorial Board member of Obstetrics and Gynecology (The Green Journal), Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Associate Editor-in-Chief of Pearls of Exxcellence, and serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has published more than 140 peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, letters and non-peer reviewed articles in journals including the Harvard Business Review. His areas of interest include outcomes research in abnormal uterine bleeding and obstetric safety.
