Katherine Carroll, PhD

Dr. Katherine Carroll, (PhD, BA, BPhysiotherapy) is a Research Fellow in the School of Sociology at the Australian National University. She conducts qualitative research into women’s reproductive health and perinatal health service delivery, with a particular focus on human milk banking, human milk donation in neonatal intensive care, oocyte donation and oocyte cryopreservation for fertility preservation. Dr. Carroll applies sociological, feminist and interdisciplinary theoretical frameworks to her research and specialises in collaborative and visual research methodologies that work with clinicians, patients and their families to enhance health services.
