Dr. Daniel Breitkopf is an associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Breitkopf received his M.D. degree from the State University of New York-Downstate College of Medicine and completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont. After spending 12 years at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, he joined Mayo Clinic’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010. At Mayo Clinic, he serves as the residency program director and gynecology division chair. His clinical and research interests include minimally invasive surgery and medical education. His academic career has been devoted to teaching the next generation of obstetrician/gynecologists and conducting clinically relevant research. Dr. Breitkopf is currently a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Committee on Gynecologic Practice and serves as an oral examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
